Quetta – Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch strongly condemned the brutal murder of Assistant Commissioner Ziarat, Afzal Baqi, and his son, calling the incident clear evidence of the complete failure of the government and its institutions.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman added that the killing of innocent people invites the wrath and punishment of Allah.

He also criticized the Balochistan government for making people’s lives miserable by closing the border, noting that thousands of families are suffering from hunger and economic hardship because of the restrictions.

He announced that he would stage a strong protest during the assembly session to demand the reopening of the border and immediate relief measures for the public.

Expressing grave concern, he pointed out that the abduction of innocent people from peaceful areas such as Ziarat and the discovery of their bodies is a sinister conspiracy to destroy the region’s peace—one that must be exposed.

He stressed that the government and security agencies have completely failed to protect citizens’ lives and property.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman demanded swift action on this tragic incident, including the formation of a high-level committee to investigate and present the facts to the public.
