ISLAMABAD: The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) have once again come under criticism in intensified manner, where the security analysts and officials describing their actions as betrayal of the Baloch cause rather than a struggle for rights.
These groups are not engaged in a genuine freedom movement but are allegedly advancing the geopolitical agendas of foreign powers.
In this regard, the most serious allegation leveled against these groups is that they are waging a form of war against their own people.
“Forcing a Baloch son to take up arms against his own brothers, labeling them as ‘death squads’ to justify killing, is the ultimate betrayal,” noted an official statement. “This is not resistance; it amounts to the deliberate and cold-blooded targeting of Baloch lives.”
Furthermore, the government maintain that BLA and BLF are funded and armed from India, with their operatives effectively acting as proxies.
“History shows that peace and progress come from constructive engagement, not through proxy wars fought on Baloch soil,” said a former diplomat familiar with the region’s dynamics.
Moreover, the officials argue that true advocacy for Baloch rights lies in political dialogue, economic development, and democratic participation not violence.
