QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court has issued an order for a hearing on a petition filed against electricity load-shedding and the disconnection of domestic power connections.
The petitioner stated that household connections have been cut off in areas surrounding Quetta and other districts, adding that tube wells have already been shifted to solar power.
The court declared the response submitted by Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) officials as unsatisfactory.
Consequently, the Balochistan High Court summoned the Balochistan Chief Secretary and the CEO of QESCO, as well as the Principal Secretary and the Chief Minister of Balochistan.
The next hearing on the constitutional petition is scheduled for September 24.

The court warned that if the summoned officers fail to appear, the Chief Minister of Balochistan and the WAPDA Chairman will also be summoned
It is worth mentioning that the power outage has been a core issue across Balochistan which have caused troubles and miseries in Balochistan.
