QUETTA: A high-level delegation from PakEco Marine Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Dubai-based PakEco Ship Recycling Pvt. Ltd. met Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail at Governor House Quetta to discuss the revival and modernization of the Gadani Ship Recycling Yard.
Raja Taimur Rehman, Managing Director of PakEco Marine Solutions, led the delegation and briefed the governor on plans to establish a state-of-the-art, Hong Kong Convention (HKC)-compliant green ship recycling facility in Gadani. He said the project would attract foreign direct investment, create thousands of jobs, and position Gadani as a global hub for sustainable ship recycling.
Sardar Shaukat Aziz Popalzai, President of the Balochistan Economic Forum, facilitated the meeting. Balochistan’s Finance and Mines and Mineral Development Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani and PakEco Marine Solutions Executive Director Raja Hashim Rehman also attended.
Governor Mandokhail welcomed the initiative, stressing that the project aligns with Balochistan’s vision for industrial growth, job creation, and environmental compliance.
