Pakistan beat Oman by 93 runs in the Asia Cup match

Sharjah: Pakistan beat Oman in their opening match in the Asia Cup 2025 in Sharjah today.

After having won the toss, Pakistan opted to bat first. Opener Saim Ayub made an early exit after being trapped leg before without scoring any run.

Mohammad Haris played a bristling knock of 66 runs. He hit three 6s and seven boundaries for his 43 deliveries 66 runs knock.

Sahibzada Farhan was the other top scorer with 29 runs. Skipper Salman Agha and Hassan Nawaz got dismissed rather cheaply and at one stage, Pakistan were struggling on 120/5.

Fakhar Zaman made 23 runs off 16 balls and Mohammad Nawaz yet again made an important contribution with his 19 runs on just 10 deliveries.

Pakistan managed a total of 160 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.

When Oman came out for the runs-chase, they lost their wickets in the regular intervals.

Pakistan’s bowler maintained the momentum of the tri-nation series and dominated the opposition with the ball.

Oman were  bowled out on jut 67 runs on the board. Saim Ayub, Sufyan Muqeem and Rana Faheen Ashraf picked up two wickets each.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, Abrar Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz shared a wicket each too.

Mohammad Haris was named man of the match for scoring the only fifty in the match.
