Chaman observes Defence Day to honour sacrifices

CHAMAN: September 6 indicates the Defence Day of Pakistan, an occasion observed in Chaman to pay tribute to the sacrifices of the Armed Forces and martyrs who defended the country with constant courage. The day stands as a symbol of resilience, unity, and national pride, reminding the nation of its steadfast commitment to safeguarding the motherland.

In this regard. Defence Day traces its origins to the events of 1965, when the people of Pakistan and the armed forces stood shoulder to shoulder to protect the nation against aggression.

In this sense, citizens recall the unparalleled bravery of soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty, reinforcing the message that the defence of Pakistan is rooted in both military strength and the collective resolve of its people.

Furthermore, across the country, ceremonies were held to honour the martyrs, with floral wreaths laid at monuments and prayers offered for the security and prosperity of the nation. Moreover, the special events mentioned the stories of courage from the battlefields, underlining the sacrifices that continue to inspire future generations.

The families of martyrs, known as the ghazis and shuhada ke waris, were honoured for their strength and resilience, as the nation reasserted its gratitude for their immeasurable contribution.
