IRGC eliminate 13 terrorists in Sistan-Balochistan Operation

QUETTA: The Iranian security forces have carried out a series of operations in the country’s southeastern province of Sistan-Balochistan, killing 13 terrorists and arresting several others. In this regard, the operations were conducted in the districts of Iranshahr, Khash, and Saravan, areas that witnessed frequent unrest and terrorist activity in recent years.

In this sense, Sistan-Balochistan, which borders Paksitan and Afghanistan, has long struggled security challenges due to its rugged terrain, cross-border smuggling routes, and the presence of armed groups. The terrorists operating in the region have often carried out ambushes, bombings, and armed assaults against Iranian security forces.

The Iranian Ministry of Interior added that the recent operations were part of a broader campaign to dismantle terrorist networks threatening public security.

Meanwhile, the latest crackdown mentions Tehran’s repeated efforts to counter militancy and strengthen border security.
