QUETTA: A consultative meeting on preparations for the upcoming NFC Award was chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani delivered a detailed briefing during the session.
It was decided that all political parties and experts will be consulted on the NFC Award, with the Chief Minister adding that even non-parliamentary parties will be taken on board.
He emphasized that the purpose of these consultations is to present a unified and strong stance on behalf of the province.
The Chief Minister noted that the NFC Award must highlight Balochistan’s needs and priorities while ensuring transparency and inclusivity in the distribution of resources.
He stressed that the award is not only an opportunity for strengthening the federation but also for enhancing harmony among provinces.
Bugti further remarked that the hopes and expectations of the people of Balochistan must be reflected in the award.
Economic experts and intellectuals will also be included in the consultation process to ensure comprehensive input.
He maintained that fair distribution of resources would pave the way for development and prosperity in the province, and that the success of all lies in building a strong and stable federation.
