QUETTA: Pakistan Railways has suspended the Quetta-to-Peshawar Jaffar Express for two days due to disruptions caused by heavy rains, officials confirmed on Monday.
Railway authorities said the Jaffar Express would not operate between Quetta and Peshawar today and tomorrow. The train service from Peshawar to Quetta has also been canceled for the same period.
Officials explained that the suspension was necessary in light of the adverse weather and the situation created by continuous monsoon rains. They assured passengers that services would be restored once conditions improve and safety is ensured.
The Jaffar Express, a key passenger train linking Balochistan with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is widely used by travelers. Its temporary suspension highlights the impact of ongoing monsoon rains on Pakistan’s transport network.
