QUETTA: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a fresh weather advisory, forecasting rain-wind and thundershowers, with isolated heavy falls, across several districts of Balochistan.
The districts expected to be affected between August 17 and August 21 include Barkhan, Musakhel, Loralai, Sibi, Zhob, Qilla Saifullah, Khuzdar, Lasbela, Awaran, Kech, Gwadar, and Panjgur.
In this regard, torrential rains triggered by a heavy cloudburst in northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have caused severe damage to infrastructure and left the local population grappling with hardship.
In this sense, the officials have acknowledged the scale of destruction and highlighted that the recovery process may take time due to the rugged terrain and limited accessibility of certain localities.
Despite these challenges, authorities have assured that every possible measure is being taken to safeguard lives and restore normalcy.
