QUETTA: On the occasion of International Youth Day, Balochistan’s Advisor to the Chief Minister on Sports and Youth Affairs, Meena Majeed Baloch, highlighted the significance of this day in recognizing the role and importance of youth in society.
She noted that more than half of the population in both the country and the province consists of young people.
The advisor stated that the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program has been launched in Balochistan to support education from the primary to higher levels.
She added that 30,000 young individuals are being equipped with skills and sent abroad for employment.
A youth policy has been formulated to provide development opportunities, and under the Youth Socio-Economic Development Program, training will be provided in various fields, including skills development and artificial intelligence.
Meena Majeed Baloch further informed that Balochistan Youth Resource Centers have been established.
She emphasized that these government initiatives aim to steer young people away from negative activities and guide them toward a constructive path.

Concluding her message, she urged the youth to play a positive role for Balochistan and Pakistan, recognize the malicious intentions of adversaries, and stay away from harmful pursuits.
