Three-day curfew imposed in Bajaur amid targeted operation

BAJAUR: The district administration announced a three-day curfew in several parts of Bajaur. The curfew will be enforced for 12 hours daily from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m starting August 11 and will remain in place until the morning of August 14. 

The restrictions will apply to approximately 27 areas of Tehsil Mamond, where security forces are conducting intensified operations.

The outdoor activities by 10:30 a.m. each day and remain indoors during curfew hours.

“This measure is essential to ensure public safety during the targeted operation,” the administration said, warning that anyone violating the curfew would be held responsible for any untoward incident.

In addition, a relief camp comprising 450 tents has been established at the local sports complex to provide shelter, food, and basic amenities to those affected. The administration has appealed to the public for full cooperation, focusing on that the measures are temporary but necessary for restoring peace and stability in the area.
