Balochistan CM honors martyrs on Independence Day Unity Message

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has reasserted that Balochistan is the heart of Pakistan and that the country’s existence without the province is unimaginable. 

He focused on that, despite challenges, the patriotic voices in the province far outnumber those who misrepresent the facts. He was addressing the people on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day, Bugti mentioned the sacrifices made by the people of Balochistan in the creation and stability of the country.

The Chief Minister was speaking at a “Victory of Truth” conference in Quetta, organized to mark the Independence celebrations. He further stated that the conference was meant to send a message of unity, peace, and patriotism, and to reject terrorism, extremism, and separatism.

In this regard, Bugti strongly condemned acts of terrorism targeting innocent civilians, calling them inhumane and against Islamic principles. He also denounced those involved in attacks on security forces, describing them as misguided elements working on foreign agendas.

He said the continuous conspiracies to divide Balochistan along ethnic and tribal lines had failed because the people of the province stood united.

The Chief Minister criticized efforts to spread hatred through social media and propaganda, stressing the need to expose such elements. He called upon scholars, elders, and civil society to play their role in countering false narratives and promoting harmony.

He also underlined the sacrifices of Baloch youth, particularly those in the armed forces, who have given their lives for the defense of the country.
