Balochistan emerging as global investment hub: Jamal Raisani

QUETTA: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and Member of the National Assembly, Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani, visited the Federation House in Karachi.

FPCCI Vice President Nasir Khan and former caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan, Alauddin Marri, welcomed him upon arrival.

During the visit, Raisani met Brigadier (Retd) Iftikhar Uppal, Secretary General of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).

FPCCI Vice Presidents Moamen Khan and Nasir Khan, former CM Alauddin Marri, National Business Group Chairman Mian Zahid Hussain, and Mir Fareed Jan Raisani also attended the meeting.

The discussion focused on Pakistan’s economic situation, business opportunities, industrial challenges, and foreign investment prospects.

Raisani said Pakistan is moving towards economic recovery after facing a severe crisis. He blamed the previous government for making hollow promises and damaging both youth potential and the national economy.

He credited the PDM government, with PPP’s support, for stabilizing the economy. He praised the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) for playing a key role under the leadership of the army chief.

He said the PPP has always supported industrial growth and foreign investment. “God willing, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will lead the next federal government,” he stated confidently.

Raisani added that the PPP would turn Pakistan into an Asian Tiger by shifting from aid to trade.
