QUETTA: Young Doctors Stage Strong Protest in Quetta, Slam Mismanagement and Incompetence in Health Sector
Chairman of the Young Doctors Association, Bahar Shah, stated that the city’s hospitals are plagued by inefficiency, disorganization, and irregularities.
He pointed out that skilled and capable young doctors are increasingly moving toward private hospitals due to the worsening conditions in public healthcare.
He also dismissed the government’s claim of 90% medicine availability in hospitals as a blatant lie.
According to him, junior staff members are being appointed to senior-level positions, bypassing merit.
Despite tenders being approved and funds allocated, hospitals have yet to receive essential medical equipment, he added.
