QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan has unearthed a major land scam involving the illegal occupation and transfer of more than 11,000 acres of valuable government land in Quetta and Hub districts of Balochistan.
According to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation, a nexus between influential land mafias, senior officials of the Board of Revenue, and certain politically connected individuals has been exposed.
NAB inquiry report revealed that large swathes of state-owned land were unlawfully allotted using forged documents and tampered records, allowing select individuals to acquire valuable property under the radar.
The fresh revelations have sparked public outrage and activists are now urging federal and provincial authorities to take swift action, reclaim the stolen land, and prosecute those involved.
