QUETTA: In a landmark decision to protect women, the Government of Balochistan has established a 24/7 crisis center and shelter home for women who are victims of violence.
According to details, the newly established crisis center will provide emergency protection, legal help, counseling, and shelter to women who are victims of violence. A helpline (1089) has also been activated, where women can call at any time to report abuse or ask for help.
The Crisis Center and Shelter Home is designed to respond quickly and confidentially. Staff members of the center are trained to handle cases with care and provide full support to victims of domestic violence and other forms of abuse.
Officials said that the basic aim to established Crisis Center and Shelter Home for Women is to ensure that no woman in Balochistan suffers in silence, adding that violence will no longer stay hidden, help is just one call away.
