There are mines in all across Pakistan, including those in Balochistan but what is more concerning t Balochistan, being rich in mineral resources, has long been home to numerous coal and mineral mines.

However, the province has also witnessed several tragic incidents over the years due to poor safety standards, outdated equipment, and lack of proper regulations.

One of the most alarming concerns has been the frequent loss of miners’ lives in accidents caused by gas explosions, cave-ins, and lack of emergency medical facilities.

Major incidents include the 2011 Sorange coal mine explosion near Quetta, which claimed over 40 lives, and multiple fatal incidents in Mach and Duki regions in subsequent years.

These accidents have repeatedly highlighted the hazardous conditions under which miners work.
