BYC sit-in Social media influencer harassed over question about masked participants

ISLAMABAD: A social media influencer Afzal Khan was attacked and harassed during a Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) propaganda sit-in in Islamabad. The incident occurred after he asked a simple question: “Who are the masked men participating in the protest”?

According to a video circulating on the social media sites, Afzal Khan raised questions about the identity of individuals participating in a BYC protest in Islamabad.

Following his remarks, human rights activist Imaan Mazari and Jamaat-i-Islami’s Mushtaq Ahmad Khan allegedly confronted Afzal Khan and asked him to delete the video. A clip circulating on social media shows a heated exchange between the parties, with accusations of intimidation.

In a video, Imaan Mazari was seen tried to snatch his mobile phone during the incident.

Social media influencer Afazal Khan responded by calling the reaction an attack on freedom of speech. “These people call themselves champions of free expression but can’t tolerate simple questions,” he said.
