SHEWA: Two members of Fitna Al Khawarij were eliminated, while several others sustained critical injuries during an intense exchange of fire under joint operation including police and security forces.
The operation was launched on a credible intelligence report regarding the presence of armed militants in the residential area of Shewa.
The terrorists were reportedly using the house of a local resident, Dr. Abdul Rahim, as a strategic hideout to launch attacks against state forces.
The brutal confrontation led to a heart attack, causing his death on the spot. Dr Rahim, a respected figure in the community. He got martyred after a heavy confrontation between security forces and terrorists.
In this scenario, authorities have reasserted their resolve to eradicate the menace of Fitna Al Khawarij, a term rooted in Islamic history used for those who cause chaos and rebellion under the guise of religion.
