Mahrang’s cousin identified as BLA militant, questions raised over anti-state narrative

QUETTA: Sohaib Langov, a close relative and first cousin of Mahrang Baloch (also known as Mahrang Ghafar), was an active member of the Indian-funded banned terrorist outfit Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).

According to official sources, Mahrang gave protection to militants during demonstrations and helped them move weapons and carry out terror activities. The biggest proof has come from the BLA (Baloch Liberation Army) itself, which confirmed that Sohaib Langov, Mahrang’s first cousin, was a terrorist of the banned group.

Sohaib Langov, who was introduced by Mahrang as her “bodyguard” during rallies, was later labeled as a “missing person” in anti-state propaganda campaigns. In reality, he was involved in serious crimes including extortion, terrorism, and multiple brutal killings of innocent citizens in Balochistan.

Analyst argued that Mahrang’s silence after the BLA’s admission raises serious questions about her alleged complicity or, at the very least, her awareness of Langov’s involvement in militant activities. Officials say this incident points to a broader trend of coordinated propaganda under the guise of human rights advocacy.

“This is not victimhood, it’s an organized campaign against the state,” a senior security official commented.

There has been no public response from Mahrang Baloch as of yet.
