QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti, held an important meeting with a representative delegation of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) to discuss the province’s evolving security landscape, human rights challenges, and initiatives for socio-economic development.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Bugti briefed the HRCP delegation on the ground realities of Balochistan, focusing on the discrepancy between perception and fact.
He mentioned that many national and international narratives surrounding Balochistan fail to indicate the true nature of events and developments within the province.
He reasserted that the accession of the State of Kalat to Pakistan was a voluntary and consensual decision, not one made under coercion, as often misrepresented.
