KP govt to hold APC over deteriorating law and order situation

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that it is the need of the hour that all political parties should rise above politics and adopt a joint action plan.

A high-level meeting chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur considered the law and order situation in the merged districts, including North and South Waziristan, in which the relevant members of the provincial cabinet and senior government officials participated.

In the meeting, it was decided to formulate a joint and agreed action plan of all schools of thought and the public to eliminate terrorism. It was also decided to form a government representative delegation in the meeting.

On this occasion, Ali Amin Gandapur said that the delegation will visit all areas and further intensify the public consultation process.

He said that it has also been decided to convene an all-party conference to formulate a joint action plan, and invitations will be sent to the parliamentary leaders of all political parties.

Ali Amin Gandapur said that public representatives should speak in unison and ensure the implementation of the strategy to eliminate terrorism. An emergency meeting of MPAs and MNAs of the merged districts has also been called.

The Chief Minister said that lasting peace can be established only through fruitful measures, mutual consultation and unanimous decisions.
