QUETTA: The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced the Matric Annual Examination results for 2025.
Board Chairman Muhammad Ishaq made the official announcement on Tuesday. Aftab Alam, a student of Balochistan Residential College, secured the first position with 1,051 marks. Muhammad Hashir took second place with 1,043 marks. Muhammad Tufail and Saqib Ali shared the third position with 1,038 marks each.
A total of 148,114 students appeared in the exams. Out of these, 100,870 students passed. The overall pass percentage stood at 68.10%, according to the chairman.
Separately, the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has shifted the verification of matric and inter certificates in Sindh to an online system.
According to the new policy, sealed envelopes for certificate verification will no longer be accepted. All verifications will now take place through the online platform.
IBCC has directed all educational boards in Sindh to connect with its system for smooth verification.

The online system is already active in the Karachi Matric Board, Sukkur Education Board, and Ziauddin Board. IBCC has urged remaining boards to digitize their records quickly for integration into the system.
