QUETTA: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Quetta, Dr. Sami Malik, has announced a crackdown on vehicles with tinted glasses, fake and fancy number plates, and underage drivers across the city.
He made these remarks while addressing a meeting of Quetta Traffic Police officers, which was attended by all Circle SPs, DSPs, and other officials. Emphasizing zero tolerance for traffic violations, SSP Malik appealed to citizens to strictly follow traffic rules, avoid double and illegal parking, and cooperate in maintaining a safe and smooth flow of traffic.
Dr. Malik also issued special directives to improve traffic management at Burma Hotel and Koyla Phatak, key congestion points in the city. He informed that special teams of the traffic police are actively patrolling major roads and taking legal action against violators without discrimination.
“The law is equal for all, and no one will be given any leniency,” he asserted. “Law-abiding citizens follow traffic regulations, and that’s the standard we aim to uphold in Quetta.”
