Three TTP terrorists eliminated in CTD operation in Lakki Marwat

LAKKI MARWAT: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Bannu, in coordination with local police, conducted a successful intelligence-based operation near Bhittani Canal in Harama village, Lakki Marwat.

The operation, which lasted approximately 25 minutes, resulted in the elimination of three key militants belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Tipu Gul group.

In this regard, these individuals were high-value targets and were on the most-wanted list for their involvement in several deadly attacks, including the targeted killings of Law and Order Head Constable Waheedullah of CTD, Traffic Constable Anwer Sher, and Constable Idrees.

In addition, they were also implicated in multiple cases of improvised explosive device (IED) attacks, assaults on police personnel, and other serious acts of terrorism that had spread fear across the district.

Furthermore, the successful operation has been hailed as a significant achievement in the ongoing fight against terrorism in the region. It is being seen as a clear message to militant networks that the state’s resolve remains constant and that the sacrifices of law enforcement officers will not go in vain.

The operation not only neutralized a looming threat but also reinforced the security apparatus’ ability to respond effectively to extremist violence.
