ISLAMABAD: Ministry of SAFRON has stopped provincial governments from taking any action against the Afghan refugees for holding Afghan Proof of Registration (POR) card, mostly residing in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.
According to details, the Ministry of SAFRON has written a letter to the governments of all four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. The ministry has instructed the senior officials and police chiefs in the letter to avoid any action against the registered Afghan POR card holders.

According to official sources, the government is considering an extension of the period for repatriation of Afghan POR holders. Until then, any action against them should be avoided.
