Over the past decade, Balochistan has witnessed a concerning rise in deadly road accidents, particularly on highways like the N-40, N-25 (RCD Highway), and N-85.
The key contributing factors to these tragic incidents include poor road infrastructure, lack of enforcement of traffic laws, overspeeding, and poorly maintained vehicles—especially overloaded buses and fuel tankers.
Additionally, nighttime driving on unlit roads, insufficient driver training, and absence of emergency medical response in remote areas have further escalated the death toll.
The province’s vast geography and low population density also make timely rescue and enforcement difficult.
