UPPER DIR: Unknown armed men shot and killed a Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam affiliate and former district Ameer of Upper in Upper Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As per details, Mufti Habibullah Haqqani, who was the ameer of the JUI tehsil Barwal, was present inside his house when unknown terrorists broke into his house last night and opened fire. As a result, he was killed on sthe pot.
After his assassination, the attackers drove off the area.
A search operation is underway to trace the suspects.
His funeral prayer was offered today at 2 pm at Kobain Bala School in Barawal.
