Reko Diq project paves way for Balochistan’s economic and social uplift

QUETTA: The Reko Diq project is being hailed as a beacon of hope and progress not only for Balochistan but also for the whole of Pakistan. This project is not only means of utilizing natural resources but also a guarantee of employment, health, education and provision of basic facilities for the local population.

According to details, the Analyst said that the establishment of a hospital equipped with modern medical facilities in Chagai district under the Indus Hospital and Health Network is proof that the aim of this project is not only the extraction of minerals but also human welfare. The establishment of community health centers in remote areas like Himai and Nokundi is ensuring access to basic health facilities in these backward areas of Balochistan, which was previously a dream.

The Analysts further said that the socio-economic impacts of the Reko Diq project include employment opportunities, promotion of local businesses, training programs, and improvement of infrastructure. Skill centers and technical training centers are being established for the youth, so that they do not only remain laborers but also become skilled.
