ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Junaid Anwar, has announced the upcoming launch of a new ferry service from Gwadar to Gulf countries.
The announcement came during a meeting chaired by the minister at Gwadar Port, where matters related to the new ferry service, shipping lines, and infrastructure development were discussed.
Junaid Anwar Chaudhry stated that Gwadar Port is now fully operational, and new shipping lines will be launched soon to reduce pressure on other ports.
He emphasized that every effort will be made to transform Gwadar into a key commercial hub.
The minister added that trade links with Central Asia and the Middle East will be further strengthened.
The ferry service will offer a more affordable and accessible mode of sea travel, enhance public connectivity with Gulf countries, and lead to a significant boost in freight movement from Gwadar.

Additionally, the ferry service is expected to create job opportunities and attract investment in Balochistan.
