FC Balochistan finalises security plan for Muharram

QUETTA: A high-level security conference was held at the Headquarters of FC Balochistan (North) in Quetta to finalise preparations for Muharram Al Haram.

Inspector General FC Major General Abid Mazhar chaired the meeting. Commissioner Quetta Hamza Shafqat, religious scholars, business leaders, and community members also attended.

The meeting aimed to ensure peace and security during the holy month. All stakeholders agreed on the final security measures.

Participants pledged full cooperation for peaceful Muharram processions and gatherings across the province.

Major General Mazhar assured the gathering of strict and effective security arrangements.

Religious scholars praised the Frontier Corps’ role in maintaining law and order. They urged the smooth implementation of all agreed plans.

The conference reflected strong unity among all stakeholders.

The Balochistan government has already imposed Section 144 in eight districts.

Authorities have banned pillion riding, public gatherings of more than five people, and the display of weapons. Licensed Muharram processions are exempted.
