Hot and humid weather grips most parts of Balochistan

QUETTA: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and humid weather across most districts of Balochistan in the coming days, with isolated rain and thunderstorms expected in a few regions.

According to the Met Office, districts including Musakhel, Barkhan, Khuzdar, Zhob, Kalat, Mastung, and surrounding areas are likely to experience strong winds accompanied by thunder and lightning, along with scattered rainfall.

The maximum temperatures recorded across Balochistan included Nokkundi at 47°C, Sibi at 45°C, Chaman at 42°C, Turbat at 41°C, Quetta at 40°C, Zhob at 36°C, Kalat at 34°C, Gwadar and Jiwani at 34°C, and Ziarat at 30°C, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

The PMD has advised residents, particularly in the hotter zones such as Nokkundi and Sibi, to take necessary precautions during peak afternoon hours. Farmers and commuters have also been urged to remain updated with the latest weather advisories due to the possibility of localised gusts and rainfall activity.
