The district administration of Chagai has confirmed that the Pakistan-Iran border remains open as usual, though there are currently no pilgrims in the area.
However, two entry points connecting to Iran in the Panjgur region have been closed.
It was previously reported that around 5,000 Pakistani pilgrims were in Iran at the time.
The government has issued instructions for pilgrims to contact the nearest diplomatic mission in case of any difficulties.
Additionally, the Pakistani government has advised pilgrims not to travel to Iran and Iraq due to the current situation.Similarly, the Gabd 250 border crossing via Gwadar has also been closed under the directives of the district administration.
