KOHAT: Former Senator Abbas Afridi has died from injuries caused by a gas explosion, his family confirmed.
The blast occurred yesterday in Azam Bagh, Kohat. Afridi was critically injured and taken to the Burn Center in Kharian.
Family sources said his funeral prayers will take place in Babri Banda, Kohat.
The explosion injured three people, including Abbas Afridi. The other two victims remain in critical condition.
Officials believe the blast was caused by a gas leak. So far, there is no evidence of foul play. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
