QUETTA: Ameer Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Balochistan and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman has expressed serious concern over the continued closure of the border, saying it has worsened the plight of the youth and business community in Balochistan.
Speaking to media and delegations in Quetta, the JI leader said Balochistan already suffers from high unemployment, and the border shutdown has further crippled business activity. He criticized both the provincial and federal governments for failing to address the longstanding issues of the Baloch people.
JI leaders said that the provincial and Federal governments silence on development and job creation for the youth is deeply unfortunateadding that such neglect could push young people toward destructive paths.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman urged authorities to take urgent and practical steps to resolve youth-related challenges and create employment opportunities, calling it essential for peace and progress in the region. He reaffirmed his party’s commitment to continue fighting for the basic rights of the Baloch people.
