Election Tribunal orders vote recount in 22 polling stations of NA-251 Zhob-Killa Saifullah

QUETTA: The Election Tribunal has ordered a recount of votes at 22 polling stations in NA-251 (Zhob-Killa Saifullah).

According to details, the Election Tribunal in Quetta presided over by Justice Aamir Rana. The decision follows a petition filed by the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP), citing alleged irregularities in the 2024 general election results.

The votes recount will be conducted at the Election Commission office in the presence of candidates and their legal representatives to ensure transparency fairness in the process.

Renowned lawyer Salman Akram Raja represented PNAP Chairman Khushhal Khan Kakar, while Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) candidate Maulvi Shamsuddin is represented by senior lawyer Advocate Kamran Murtaza.

The political analysts view this development as a critical step toward restoring public trust and ensuring electoral transparency in the democratic process.

The recount outcome could significantly influence the final result in the NA-251 constituency, making it a key focus in Balochistan’s post-election landscape.
