Quetta Gladiators storm into final with 30-runs victory over Islamabad United

RAWALPINDI: In the first qualifier of HBL PSL 10, Quetta Gladiators secured a spot in the final by defeating Islamabad United by 30 runs.

The match, played in Lahore, saw United bowled out for 179 in the final over while chasing a target of 210.

For United, Sahibzada Farhan stood out with a 52-run knock. Agha Salman added 44, Rassie van der Dussen scored 35, Shadab Khan managed 16, Imad Wasim 5, and Jimmy Neesham just 1. Both Naseem Shah and Alex Hales were dismissed without scoring.

From the Gladiators’ bowling attack, Usman Tariq claimed 3 wickets, Mohammad Amir and Faheem Ashraf took 2 each, while Abrar Ahmed and Mohammad Wasim picked up one wicket apiece.

Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat, Quetta Gladiators posted 209 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted overs.

Dinesh Chandimal top-scored with an unbeaten 48. Faheem Ashraf contributed 45, Finn Allen made 41, Avishka Fernando scored 32, Rilee Rossouw added 16, skipper Saud Shakeel scored 15, and Hassan Nawaz chipped in with 6 runs.
