The devastating floods of 2022 left a trail of destruction across Balochistan, affecting millions of people and damaging infrastructure on a massive scale.
Torrential rains triggered flash floods that swept away homes, roads, and bridges, leaving entire communities cut off from basic services.
Districts including Lasbela, Jhal Magsi, Jaffarabad, Naseerabad, and Zhob were among the worst-hit, where thousands of families were displaced and forced to live in temporary shelters.
According to official figures, hundreds of lives were lost while vast areas of agricultural land were inundated, causing long-term economic losses for farmers and daily wage earners.
Relief and rehabilitation efforts were launched by the government and humanitarian organizations, but the scale of destruction posed a daunting challenge.
