17,908 Afghan Refugees repatriated from Loralai in ongoing operation

Pakistan to begin deporting Afghan nationals holding PoR cards from September 1

LORALAI:  The district administration has deported 145 more Afghan nationals in a single day as part of its ongoing operation against illegal immigrants and PoR card holders.

According to official figures, a total of 9,882 Afghan refugees holding Proof of Registration (PoR) cards have been sent back to Afghanistan since the operation began on September 3, 2025. The overall number of deportees from Loralai district has now crossed 17,908.

The 145 individuals removed today belonged to 16 families, continuing the administration’s systematic evacuation process. Authorities have reaffirmed that the operation will continue without interruption until all illegal foreigners and Afghan refugees are evacuated from the district, with no concessions or leniency in its implementation.

The repatriation of the Afghan immigrants continues in many districts across Balochistan.

The Quetta district administration has excluded 35 thousand Afghan nationals so far.

The Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini has said that according to the directives of the government of Pakistan, the repatriation campaign of the Afghan nationals is continued stepwise and in an organized way.

He further said that we are keeping in view humanitarian compassion, legal codes and the government policy so that no group is troubled.

The Deputy Commissioner has said that the process of repatriation will be accelerated in the future and all the institution on the district level are active.

The facilitation centers have been launched on the border areas.

Dozens of camps have been evacuated on the daily basis in the operations carried out by the district administration.

The Afghan nationals are carrying out the arrangements of selling of their businesses and the properties.

The public figures have taken this move and the supremacy of law and a step ahead for the betterment of the country.

It is worth mentioning that millions of Afghan nationals were settled in Pakistan during the war back in 1980s.

Pakistan has been hosting the Afghan nationals for the past five decades.

However, keeping in view the law-and-order, national security and the development of the remote areas in Balochistan and KP, Pakistan has decided to sent back the Afghan nationals to their own country.
