Ziarat Hits Minus 9 Degrees as Cold Wave Intensifies in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast cold and dry weather across most districts of Balochistan.

Northern districts are expected to remain extremely cold, with minimum temperatures in several areas falling below freezing.

In Quetta, the temperature dropped to minus 4 degrees Celsius. Kalat recorded minus 7, Ziarat minus 9, and Zhob minus 2.

In central and southern areas, Sibi recorded a minimum of 6 degrees Celsius, while Turbat stood at 12. Nokundi recorded 1 degree, and Chaman fell to minus 1.

Along the coast, Gwadar recorded a minimum temperature of 12 degrees Celsius, while Jiwani stood at 11.

The Meteorological Department urged residents to take precautions during the cold spell. It advised special care for vulnerable people, including the elderly and children.
