QUETTA: Opposition Leader Mir Younas Aziz Zehri staged a walkout from Balochistan Assembly in protest against the exclusion of Jhalawan Medical College from the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP), on Saturday.
According to reports, Younas Aziz Zehri strongly criticized the provincial government for sidelining what he called a vital educational project for the region.
Zehri pointed out that he had already raised concerns about the project director, describing him as incompetent and corrupt, but no action had been taken despite repeated warnings.
Chief of National Party (NP) and the former Chief Minister, Dr. Malik Baloch warned that if the Pakistan Medical Council (PMC) took notice of the lack of funding and attention, it could jeopardize the future of hundreds of medical students.
In response, Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, addressed the concerns raised. CM said he was unaware of the college being excluded from the PSDP list, adding that we’ve approved thousands of projects. If this was missed, we’ll look into it.
