Quetta () — Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Member of the Balochistan Assembly, Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, in a statement on his social media account, strongly condemned the incident in Kech, Buleda, where terrorists set construction machinery on fire.
He termed the attack deeply regrettable and said such actions are a conspiracy to keep the Baloch people deprived and then use that deprivation to instill hatred against the state and government in the minds of the youth.
He emphasized that these elements will never succeed in their malicious agenda.
The Government of Balochistan, with the support of law enforcement agencies, will continue the journey of development at all costs and will bring such destructive elements before the law to ensure justice.
Such attacks are a recurring obstacle to development in Balochistan. Militant groups often target construction projects to disrupt progress and prevent local communities from benefiting from infrastructure and economic growth.
These incidents not only deepen poverty but are also exploited to spread anti-state sentiments.
Protecting development initiatives and ensuring law enforcement presence is crucial for sustainable peace and prosperity in the province.
Over the past three years, Balochistan has witnessed several attacks targeting development projects, construction sites, and infrastructure.
In October 2024, armed militants attacked a dam construction site in Panjgur, killing five security personnel and torching machinery.
In different areas of Makola, traders’ vehicles used for border trade were set ablaze, raising concern among the business community.
In early 2025, separatist groups destroyed telecommunications towers in Gwadar and Surab districts, while in Khuzdar’s Zehri town, militants burned government offices and damaged public property.
