ISLAMABAD: The newly introduced transparency feature on the microblogging platform X has reportedly uncovered digital connections between Pakistan’s hostile states and terrorist organizations operating inside the country.
According to the report, this feature has been designed to expose misinformation, disinformation, fabricated narratives, and coordinated propaganda campaigns along with the hidden networks behind them.
The transparency data reveals links between several anti-Pakistan actors including extremist groups, Afghan-based networks, and Baloch militant organizations with hostile foreign entities.
It is said that multiple groups involved in terrorist attacks inside Pakistan are in contact with Research and Analysis Wing.
The report further says that the official account of the Afghan foreign office is being operated from India, while several Baloch militant social media accounts are also run from Indian territory.
Additionally, anti-Pakistan narratives being spread on social media from Afghanistan are said to be amplified through India-based accounts.
The purpose of this transparency feature is to protect X from being misused for propaganda and conspiracy-driven objectives, while promoting the sharing of verified and authentic content.
It is also recalled that the international organization Global Disinformation Lab had earlier reported extensive Indian involvement in digital operations related to Balochistan.
That report disclosed that over 25,000 fake accounts were created in the names of Baloch individuals using Balochistan’s Google location, operating from multiple Indian cities and posting thousands of messages daily.
These accounts were engaged in spreading highly toxic and hateful content against the Government of Balochistan, provincial institutions, the state of Pakistan, and particularly the Pakistan Army.
The report concluded that India is surely pursuing a strategy aimed at weakening Pakistan through efforts linked to separatism in Balochistan.
