MULTAN: In Multan, the bodies of a woman and her three children were discovered hanging inside a house in the Mumtazabad Phatak area.
Initial investigations suggest that the incident may have been staged to appear as a suicide.
Police have arrested the woman’s husband and his brother in connection with the case.
According to officials, the deceased children were between 4 and 7 years old. In his initial statement, the husband admitted to frequent disputes with his wife.
Police say the case is being investigated from all angles.
Hospital sources confirmed that post-mortem examinations of the woman and children were completed late at night.
The reports revealed that the three children died due to strangulation and were hanged afterward to mislead investigators.
Samples have been sent to a forensic laboratory for further analysis.
Police have registered a case against three individuals, including the husband and his brother, on the complaint of the victim’s mother.
