QUETTA: The Surab terrorist attack, security sources have revealed alarming connections between the assailants and the Baloch Yekjehti Committee (BYC), an organization allegedly involved in anti-state activities.
In this regard, as per the verified sources, the night of the attack saw terrorists exiting specific residential units in Surab, units that had earlier been identified as BYC-linked safe houses.
These premises had hosted BYC rallies, including the one led by Dr. Mahrang Baloch, the head of the organization, who has come under increasing scrutiny for her role in allegedly inciting public sentiment against state institutions.
Furthermore, dozens of individuals had protested under the BYC banner in Surab following Dr. Mahrang’s detention, raising further questions about the organization’s motives and affiliations.

In this sense, investigators have also identified a high-level communication event just hours before the attack.
However, a senior official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, stated that at approximately three hours before the assault, a Thuraya IP+ terminal activated in the center of Surab.
The device, using L-band frequency from coordinates 28.49°N, 66.26°E, connected to a parked satellite at 14.22°E, an event that has led investigators to a chilling conclusion: the attack was orchestrated in real-time from a war room located on Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
