Dry and cold weather is forecasted in Balochistan

QUETTA: Mostly dry and cold weather is expected in several parts of Balochistan.

According to the weather department, the weather across Balochistan is forecasted to remain dry and cold in most parts of Balochistan.

The weather is cold in the northern parts of Balochistan and there are moderate weather conditions in the southern parts of the province.

The temperature recorded in the Ziarat valley earlier today was 0 degree centigrade.

In Quetta, a minimum temperature of 5 degree and in Kalat 6 degrees centigrade was recorder.

The temperature in Gwadar, Sibi and Turbat remained 17, 18 and 20 degrees centigrade respectively.

The northern parts of Balochistan including the provincial capital Quetta are hit now with a colder weather with the start of November, and cold wind blows across Quetta and the surrounding areas in the morning and evening time.

In the areas of Quetta, Chaman, Ziarat, Zhob, Loralai, Kalat and surrounding, the low pressure of the household gas supply has raised concerns already.

However, the southern parts like Gwadar, Turbat, Sibi and Nushki still observe slightly hot weather conditions particularly during the day time.

The intensity of the sunlight makes thing harder for the travelers, hawkers and the laborers in the vast sandy areas.

It is worth mentioning that Balochistan is divided in two regions on account of its climatic conditions.

The upper or the northern part of the province is called winter region and the lower or the southern part of Balochistan is named summer region.

The school holidays of two months are also announced keeping in view the intensity of the weather in both the regions.

In north Zone, the schools and the other educational institute remain closed from December to March.

However, in the South Zone, the school holidays are announced from June to September to prevent the students from an extremely hot weather.
