Washuk authorities reopens 64 Schools, bans illegal logging

Omani-Era Gwadar school to be restored and expanded

WASHUK: On the instructions of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Deputy Commissioner Washuk Abdul Majeed Sarpara presided over an open court in the remote area of Shahogarhi Hormagai to address public grievances at their doorstep

The session was attended by Wing Commandant Kharan Rifles Colonel Wadaan, SP Washuk Gul Ahmed Sarpara, Assistant Commissioner Khudaidad, other district officers, and local notables .

DC Sarpara emphasized that the purpose of the court was to listen to and resolve the legitimate problems of people in remote areas promptly. He highlighted the government’s focus on law and order, health, and education, noting that 64 government schools had been reactivated in the district over the past year .

The Deputy Commissioner issued strict warnings on several key issues. He stated that no compromise would be made on absenteeism among government employees and that poppy cultivation would not be tolerated, with legal action to be taken against violators . He also announced a complete ban on illegal logging .

To ensure continuity, he announced that the Assistant Commissioner would visit the area monthly to hear public issues. The open court concluded with prayers for the country’s security and prosperity .
