Pakistan, France Express Concern Over Violations of Lebanon Ceasefire

ISLAMABAD: French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot called Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on the phone on Friday.

They discussed regional developments, bilateral ties, and the ongoing tensions in Lebanon.

Barrot praised Pakistan’s key and active role in securing an initial ceasefire in the region. He congratulated Dar on Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts.

He also reaffirmed France’s full support for Pakistan’s efforts to pursue diplomatic solutions for lasting peace and stability in the region.

Both ministers expressed deep concern over serious violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon.

They stressed that full respect for the ceasefire agreement and its strict implementation remained essential for durable peace.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Pakistan-France relations.

They agreed to expand cooperation in trade and economic sectors.
