WASHINGTON: US Military Bases in Middle East ‘Uninhabitable’ After Iranian Attacks, Report Reveals
A major report by an American newspaper has revealed that several US military bases in the Middle East have become uninhabitable due to severe damage sustained during Iranian attacks, forcing a large number of American soldiers to be urgently relocated to hotels and office buildings.
According to the report, the unusual situation has disrupted the American military system, with a significant portion of US ground forces now operating remotely instead of from traditional bases. Only a limited number of air crews remain at the affected installations.
The Iranian attacks targeted key American facilities in Gulf countries, including Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. Among the damaged bases are Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. Several American personnel were reportedly killed and injured in the strikes.
The report states that 13 US military bases have been affected, with facilities in Kuwait suffering the most extensive damage. The destruction has forced US forces to alter their presence and operational methods in the region.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have appealed to citizens to identify new locations of US troops, while Tehran has accused Washington of using civilian areas as human shields.
According to US media, the situation has placed the Trump administration under mounting pressure, as the shifting war strategy and vulnerability of military bases have raised serious questions about America’s preparedness.
